The Tooth Won. The Conversion Failed.
Picture this: the new teeth wear well. The crew likes changing them. The adapters look good.
Then one tooth goes missing.
The parts room has plenty of teeth for the old system. None fit the new adapters. Now the machine is waiting for a replacement that should have been planned before the conversion.
That is a lousy way to win a field test.
The industry is good at getting the first set onto a bucket. Bring the parts, help with the installation, take pictures and talk about performance.
But a production machine needs the second set. And the third.
If CorePartsDirect converts your bucket, keeping the right replacement parts available is part of our job. Before installation, we confirm the correct C-REX GET configuration for the bucket, agree on the replacement stock needed for that machine and where it will be held. We track what gets used and trigger replenishment before the agreed minimum is reached.
The starting quantity should reflect how hard the machine works and how long replacements take to arrive. As actual consumption becomes clear, we adjust it. An unexpected lost tooth should be covered too.
That is the work behind managed stock. The crew should not discover a supply problem when the bucket is already stopped.
And we have to be honest about it. If we cannot put a credible stock and replenishment plan behind a conversion in a particular location, we need to solve that before anyone changes adapters.
C-REX still has to earn its place on the bucket. Wear, fit, retention and changeouts matter. But CorePartsDirect has to perform off the machine as well.
A better tooth that is unavailable when the crew needs it is not a better operating result.
